DIrECTED MAINTENANCE

If your elevator equipment is older or experiencing more than its fair share of trouble, by now we certainly know about it. We also likely know what parts of your elevator system are driving the troubles. Some parts may simply need to be upgraded or replaced. If bigger deficiencies exist, their existence has been conveyed to you and addressed in one way or another. 

Many smaller parts of your system can and should be addressed and worked on over time and over multiple maintenance visits by your service provider as part of your routine maintenance program. Concentrating maintenance time and effort in specific areas of the system and on specific work items during each maintenance visit can rejuvenate many elevator systems. A directed maintenance prescription uses this knowledge and moves things a step further by requesting at least certain specified work items be performed during each scheduled maintenance visit. Each work item prescribed is one that we have found to likely be in need of attention. 

A rejuvenated elevator system and successful maintenance program doesn’t happen overnight; chipping away in all the right places over time is critical to the improvement process. Utilizing our oversight processes puts improvement oversight into third party trained hands. When the improvement process becomes a team effort results will follow.
